The annual GRAMMY Awards is the world’s most renowned and watched televised music event, attracting millions of music lovers who tune in to see breakthrough music acts and legacy artists recognized and watch historic live performances. The combination of the Bitmovin Player and Nomad Media’s CMS provided the Recording Academy with a reliable and scaled solution to deliver live streams seamlessly across a broad range of devices including Amazon Fire TV, Android mobile, Apple TV, Chromecast, iOS, Roku, Samsung smart TVs, and web browsers.

“The GRAMMYs are an annual celebration of the music industry, spotlighting everyone from household names to up-and-coming, genre-bending talent, so it’s essential we have a powerful and reliable solution that can deliver a flawless viewing experience,” said Ray Starck, Vice President of Digital Strategy at the Recording Academy. “We first worked with Bitmovin and Nomad Media for the 2023 GRAMMY Awards, and their solution provided an excellent viewing experience for our audience, so it was an easy decision to work with them again.”

The Bitmovin Player empowers the Recording Academy to deliver high-quality streams to the broadest range of devices and guarantees playback quality on any screen through modular architecture, including low latency and configurable adaptive bitrate streaming, which ensures a smooth and seamless viewing experience for audiences, regardless of their location.

In addition to covering the streaming technology behind the GRAMMY Awards, relevant highlights from the latest Bitmovin Video Developer Report will showcase key streaming technology trends.
