This exciting presentation will explore the convergence of technologies opening doors to new content opportunities with a beloved franchise, Star Trek.

Jules Urbach CEO and Founder, OTOY Inc, will share the making of The Archive, a multi-decade collaboration between OTOY and Roddenberry Entertainment — which aims to capture Gene Roddenberry’s lifetime of works with historical accuracy and holographic immersion— for future generations to explore. Jules will then be joined by Rod Roddenberry, CEO of Roddenberry Entertainment, and a host of thought leaders to highlight how diverse technological advances — ranging from light field displays and virtual production to generative AI and decentralized computing — are transforming the media and entertainment industries.

Presaged by Gene Roddenberry in Star Trek, the panel will look at how these technologies can enhance media preservation efforts in the 21st century.

Please Note: This session is available with an Exhibits Pass(All-Badge Access) - it does NOT require a Core Education Collection Pass.
