Since its foundation, World Surf League (WSL) has pioneered innovation and fan-centric experience throughout its broadcasting journey. Having enjoyed several years of growth, with WSL front and center of many television screens in the United States, WSL was looking to expand to more audiences worldwide at scale and enjoy sustainable business growth. This meant moving beyond the restrictions posed by satellite to the flexibilities of IP-based video transmission. In this discussion, WSL SVP Broadcast & Studio Operations, Rob Hammer, and LTN GM Managed Solutions, Mike Burk, will spotlight how WSL future-proofed its video contribution, distribution and monetization workflows by scaling their use of LTN services - underpinned by the industry-leading IP multicast LTN Network. Through LTN technology, WSL delivers high-quality experiences across linear TV and digital platforms for its busy calendar of global events. Hammer and Burk will explore the success of the partnership and how WSL has grown its audiences and unlocked new revenue streams through an IP-centric approach and forward-thinking methodologies.
