The Video Encoding and Codecs presentations review the technical guidelines developed for Versatile Video Coding, evaluate codec configuration choices and determine their impact on compression performance specifically for broadcast and streaming applications. Attendees will learn about the MV-HEVC codec’s practical performance in deployment to efficiently deliver immersive 3D movies to Head Mounted Displays and the results of comparing both state-of-the-art open source and commercial encoding across a range of codecs.
