Recent updates have opened up a whole new dimension in After Effects, allowing you to work directly with 3D models and illuminate your scenes with realistic HDRI lighting. While this new True 3D workspace is not intended to replace dedicated 3D software, it’s extremely useful for product promos, extruded text, incorporating 3D elements in your existing 2D work, and more. We’ll explore these new features as well as existing essentials like cameras, lights and working in 3D space, and point out the must-know techniques to make the most of them in your own work.
In this session you’ll learn:
● Fundamentals of working in 3D in After Effects
● Tips for leveraging the new Advanced 3D Render engine
● Basics of creating and exporting models from other apps
● Limitations and appropriate use cases
This session is intended for intermediate users who want to incorporate 3D into their existing After Effects work.
