Hi-resolution workflows are now a normal thing in editing and post-production but often editing 8K files are neither smart or desirable. This session will look at inserting proxies into your workflow and the benefits of editing with proxy files, from the set all the way to moving back to full resolution media for final finishing. In this session you’ll learn:
• How to determine what kind of proxies to use and ways to distribute them
• How to create proxies proxies within your editing application as well as using third-party transcoding tools
• How to attached proxies for the edit
• How to burn data into the proxy files during creation
• How to move from proxies back to camera original media and preparing for final finishing
