In modern media production it is quite common to shoot with multiple cameras to cover an interview or scene, and there are many different ways to shoot multicam so an editor never really knows what they are going to get. All modern editing applications have special tools just for mulitcamera editing and this session will look at how to use those for faster and more efficient multicam editing.

In this session we will cover:
• How to synchronize different types of media for multicam editing
• Using dedicated multicam tools in post-production for faster and more efficient editing
• Camera angle switching vs. angle cutting vs. the Add Edit – Step Through technique
• Unique technical considerations for multicam editing such as editing codec choice, computer hardware and drive speeds
• Multicamera editing for music videos
