Warren Eagles is a long term Resolve Colorist, grading his first feature film using Resolve back in 2006. He continues to use Resolve for his day to day grading commitments in Australia, coloring everything from YouTube clips to feature films. Warren also teaches Color grading for his training company the ‘International Colorist Academy’

Getting that special ‘Look’ whether it is a stock standard one or something specially tailored to a particular scene or product is not easy. As a colorist you have to have to like what you are creating otherwise it is very hard sell it to your clients in the session.

This is an intermediate class aimed at Editors, DPs and Colorists who are already using Resolve but want to learn what is involved in getting the right ‘Look’ for your client. How may ‘Look’ options should you offer a client?
The session will be conducted using Resolve but the theory taught will be very general so aimed at users of all color correction software. The session media will be supplied on a USB drive so attendees can follow along.

  • The ‘Film Look’ using the Resolve Film Luts
  • Black n White using the RGB Mixer
  • Spot Color like ‘Black Hawk Down’
  • Bleach Bypass
  • Cross Process
  • Adding grain and film edge fogging.
  • The soft misty look.
  • Day for night
