Cardenas, Luis

Luis Cardenas currently leads the commercial strategy of LALIGA in the MENA and South Asia regions, identifying and closing opportunities with the support of a team of 14 people within the territory. With over 12 years working across Europe, APAC, Middle East and Africa, Luis joined LALIGA in 2018 as Delegate for Tanzania, overseeing the expansion of the league in Eastern Africa. A year after he was promoted to his current position of Head of Partnerships based in Dubai. During his tenure, Luis has led strategic projects and created new revenue streams for LALIGA, both from regional and global perspectives.

Prior to LaLiga, he worked as Lawyer for a boutique Spanish Law Firm in Dubai, and as Trade & Investment Advisor for the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in UAE.

Luis holds an MBA with focus on International Business Management by ICEX and the Universidad Internacional Menendez Pelayo in Madrid, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Law & Business Studies by the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in Madrid.
