Assistant Western Region Director at ICG Local 600

Michael Chambliss is the Assistant Western Region Director and advanced production technology specialist for the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG), IATSE Local 600, focused on the integration of new forms of programming and emerging production methods into the craft of cinematography and camera crew practices. He is the ICG’s representative on several industry forums including the American Society of Cinematographers’ (ASC) Motion Imaging Technology Council (MITC), the Hollywood Production Alliance, the Entertainment Technology Center @ USC projects, and the Industry Wide Labor-Management Safety Committee.

Prior to shepherding the ICG’s technology initiatives, Michael was a principal of the production company Chambliss-Wolff Films and a consultant for media technology investment groups. He worked as a director of photography and camera operator on motion pictures and television series as well as earning a Peabody Award as a documentary director/DP.
