Knea, Rick

Rick served his country for 10 years in Satellite Command and Control and training positions with the US Air Force.  He has enjoyed a 30 year career in telecommunications, cutting his teeth on BBN routers and T1's with the DoD Defense Simulation Internet; running a statewide optical network in Idaho; working as a Sales Engineer for several telecom hardware vendors; and ultimately to designing multi-channel and multi-vendor optical and data networks.

 

Rick brings his well-rounded career and expertise to Oscilloquartz/Adtran to assist customers in solving their timing and synchronization issues in multiple applications, including PNT and Broadcast.  His role and experience encompasses multiple areas in the design and implementation of timing solutions such as fundamental Timing and Synchronization concepts, synchronization network planning and design, best practices in test and measurement, and the promotion of synchronization standards in various industries.  His expertise has extended to public speaking engagements at multiple conferences, where he has shared his insights at events such as the Oscilloquartz/Adtran Partners Summit, Power & Tel Tech Summit, Oregon Independent Telecom Association Convention, Indiana Broadband Technology Convention and several other industry conferences.
