Smith, Storm
Storm is Storyteller Director at Galludet University and an independent creative director. She recently served as Producer & Diversity Inclusion Accessibility Lead at BBDO Los Angeles for AT&T Mobile. She became the first Deaf juror for Cannes Lions and continues in roles of creative director and marketing consultant for collaborative brand projects, as a motivational speaker on large scale events, and a thought leader for change in the creative and advertising industry. Storm served as a Director for Condé Nast's Vanity Fair "Bridging the Gap" which earned the gold honor in Branded Content. Collaborations include marketing consultant for Amazon Studios 2021 Academy Award nominated film: "Sound of Metal", Apple: Everyone Can Code, ZP Better Together, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales actress & producer Natasha Ofili, Academy Award winning actress Marlee Matlin, Tony Award nominee Lauren Ridloff, Gallaudet University's first ever music video campaign: “We Belong”.
Storm also co-wrote and produced "Am I Next?” with Natasha Ofili to spotlight attention on the experiences of the Black Deaf Community during the serious light of Black Lives Matter. She co-founded the disability community "We Are Here - Disability" at ADCOLOR conference with Bryan Stromer, Product Marketing at Microsoft. Storm appeared on a hit panel at SXSW 2022, "Big Bold Brave Ideas".
Storm’s tireless efforts to promote diversity, inclusion and accessibility have earned her special recognition from President Barack Obama during the 30th anniversary of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), and ADCOLOR Unsung Community Hero award. She has been featured in publications such as Condé Nast, Forbes, PopSugar, Los Angeles Times, ABC's Localish, Billboard, Muse by CLIO, Campaign, PR Wire, TV Guide, Adweek, AdAge and more.
