Hammer, Rob
SVP of Broadcast and Studio Operations
at World Surf League
Rob Hammer is the SVP of Broadcast and Studio Operations for the World Surf League (WSL). Over the last decade he has helped to transform the WSL into a modern sports league with a passionate global fandom. A professional, producer, creator, technology advocate, and above all a storyteller, he’s responsible for the teams and technology bringing pro surfing to a mainstream audience from some of the most remote parts of the world. His teams broadcast over 800 hours of live surfing and create 20+ hourlong television specials annually. When he’s not traveling with “the world’s best surfers on the world’s best waves,” he enjoys tinkering with tech projects, settling in with a good book, and lounging at home in Venice, California.
