Beasley, Caroline
Caroline Beasley serves as Chief Executive Officer of Beasley Broadcast Group and is the Chair of the company’s Board of Directors.
The media executive most recently served as Chair of the BMI Board of Directors, is a member of the Federal Communications Committee (FCC) Diversity and Inclusion Committee, is a former Joint Board Chair of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Board of Directors and is a past Chairman of the NAB Radio Board. In addition, she currently serves as a member of the Broadcasters Foundation of America (BFOA) Board of Directors and the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation (NABLF).
Ms. Beasley has been consistently ranked on an annual basis among the top five of Radio Ink magazine’s “40 Most Powerful People in Radio” list. In addition, she has been featured among the magazine’s “Most Influential Women in Radio” on an annual basis since 2003. Among her many industry accolades, Ms. Beasley was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame in May 2023 and was named among the Giants of American Broadcasting by the Library of American Broadcasting in November of 2023.
In addition, she received the prestigious NAB “National Radio Award” in April 2022 for her outstanding contributions in the radio industry. In 2019, she received the “Horizon Award” for her vision and industry leadership during the Media Institute’s Free Speech Gala. In 2017, she was recognized by Radio Ink magazine as “Radio Executive of the Year”. Ms. Beasley received the 2016 “Distinguished Service Award” from the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters. She was honored with the 2012 recipient of the “Frances Preston Trailblazer Award” from the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio Group (MIW), a national organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of women to senior positions in the radio industry.
Ms. Beasley earned a B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina.
